Are you wondering where the name "Rachel Writes" came from?
Since childhood, Rachel has loved hand lettering and creating letter forms. Back then it was just writing in bubble letters and cursive, but it always fascinated her. Many notebooks were filled with her lettering practice. She even painted her first text filled murals in her hometown elementary school while in high school. In 2018, Rachel took a modern calligraphy course and her love of lettering grew. "Rachel Writes" was born when Rachel decided to turn her hobby into a business and used her hand lettering talents to create hand lettered chalkboards and signage. Since that time, Rachel has grown in her skills. Custom murals and logo painting have become a main focus of her business. Most murals Rachel creates incorporate lettering in some way.
